TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

First leading role for Tom Hanks.

Over the course of the film Jay Jay wears 8 different hats and changes hats 14 times.

This film is clearly a social commentary on the Dungeons & Dragons controversy occurring during this period.

The film began production right after Tom Hanks' popular ABC series, Bosom Buddies was canceled during the Summer of 1982.

The film fell into obscurity for years and it wasn't until Tom Hanks' popularity starting with his Oscar nominated role in Big, that the film was starting to be shown on cable television again and even more so after winning his second Oscar for Forrest Gump, that the film was re-issued by Warner Bros. on home video which raised it to a more popular cult film despite its low budget sensibilities.

Popular Dialogues

"Robbie Wheeling: I am Pardue, and I am a holy man."

"Kate Finch: Jay Jay, that was really stupid, jumping into the pit without using your sonar first!"
