In the scene of the first gymnastics comp there is a poster on the wall that says sophomores rule and the names Gretchen, Cady, Regina and Karen. The "plastics" from Mean Girls

During the second competition, the posters on the walls list the names of different groups of girls. The "Freshmen" are all Disney princesses (Cindy short for Cinderella), the "Sophomores" are Cady, Gretchen, Regina and Karen from Mean Girls (2004), and the "Juniors" are Mina, Wei Wei, Haley, Joanne, and Tricia from Stick It (2006).
