TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Actress Jules Willcox broke her foot while shooting one of the first action scenes of the movie. She decided to finish the shoot in a boot, and with the help of her stunt double Michelle Damis. Some scenes had to be finished a few months later, when Jules was fully healed.

The movie is a remake of writer Mattias Olsson's and producer Henrik JP Åkesson's 2011 Swedish film Försvunnen (2011).

The podcast playing in the car in the beginning is Knifepoint Horror

Sam uses the tactic of appearing helpless (wearing a sling) and needing assistance with his car to try and lure Jessica out of her car. This is a tactic used by real life serial killer Ted Bundy. It is also used by Jame Gumb to lure Catherine Martin into his van in The Silence of the Lambs (1991).

In January 2021, director John Hyams recorded a feature-length audio commentary for the film for the Rogue Commentary podcast.
