TRIVIA

Trivia

Dependent's Day was shot in 17 Days, that consisted of 8 hour shoot days.

Day 17 of filming was the helicopter Day where the Director Michael Lynch and Producer Oliver DeFillipo flew in a small helicopter capturing all of the aerials you see in the movie. Most people think it's stock footage, but it was shot for this movie only.

Day 1 the Director Michael Lynch wrapped production after 5 1/2 hours, to establish the pace he wanted to set to film this movie.

Joshua Staman's car broke finally down and diedon his first day of shooting. The director told him to "use that energy." He did.

Benita Robledo said in an interview that director Michael David Lynch suggested during production that she and other actors film a full frontal nude scene for the movie. When Robledo told him she didn't want to do it, he became demanding, telling her the scene depicted something "real" and the movie needed to be authentic. He eventually agreed to film two versions of the scene, one that framed the shot without exposing her, and promised to give her approval on the final version. But he never did. Several months later, Robledo was shocked to discover during a screening that he used her full nude shot. After, she emailed Lynch to tell him not to use that scene. He called her back and began screaming at her that she was stealing his movie from him. Then he added, "You shouldn't be upset, because guys were asking me at the screening for your number because they wanted to fuck you." After several months, Lynch agreed to reshoot the scene with Robledo wearing a T-shirt. She was so disturbed by his behavior, though, that she opted out of appearing publicly in support of the film, despite winning an award for best actress at the Hill Country Film Festival in Texas. When a reporter contacted Lynch about Robledo's claims, he denied the allegations, stating that the nude scene in question was in the script, that Robledo "wanted to do it," and that her recollection of his statements are inaccurate.
