Much like how all Zombie Characters have the letter Z somewhere in their names, all Werewolf Characters have the letter W somewhere in their names.
This is the first Disney Channel Original Movie to be Filmed in Panavision (anamorphic), in the wide 2.39:1 aspect ratio. All previous DCOMs were either filmed in 1.33:1 (4:3) or 1.78:1 (16:9) aspect ratios.
This is the first DCOM to not premiere on Disney Channel outside North America but much rather debut on Disney+, due to the closure of Disney Channel International in 2020.
Due to the severe commitment that Mickeey Nguyen had with the hulu series Utopia Falls (2020), Tracey of the Aceys does not appear for reasons never explained in the film itself, and is replaced with Jacey played by Noah Zulfikar.
Chandler Kinney, Pearce Joza and Ariel Martin, the new cast members that played the 3 main werewolves, all had previously made guest appearances in an episode or so during the final seasons of live action Disney Shows of the 2010s. Kinney was in K.C. Undercover (2015), Joza was in Lab Rats (2012), and Martin was in Bizaardvark (2016).
