Middendorf's Manchac is a real seafood restaurant just outside New Orleans in Akers, La. The restaurant is located at the the base of the I-55 bridge between Lake Maurepas and Lake Pontchartrain.

The Secret (2006) was released as a film in March 2006, and later the same year as a book. The book is influenced by Wallace Wattles' 1910 book "The Science of Getting Rich," which Rhonda Byrne received from her daughter during a time of personal trauma, in 2004.

Second movie to collab Josh Lucas with director Andy Tennant who directed Sweet Home Alabama (2002).
