TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Director Sylvain White was attracted by the realistic nature of the comic, to do the film: "What appealed to me about The Losers, was that it wasn't the typical superhero-with-superpowers thing. It was based on real characters, realistic characters - and based in reality, like a lot of the European graphic novels that I had grown up reading."

The radio telescope seen in the film is the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. When built it was the largest single aperture radio telescope in the world.

Production designer Aaron Osborne and cinematographer Scott Kevan attempted to enhance the color scheme of the comics, where only two to three colors were used to convey the tone of each setting, so they charted the whole movie with certain color schemes for each location, and different shades as time passed("Every chapter of the comic books is a new environment distinguished by different color palettes - so every time we are in a new city or country, the aesthetic of the film changes completely, so there is no homogeneous look. It's very eclectic.").

As in the comics, Colonel Clay is wearing a white shirt with a black suit. The only time he isn't in a suit is in the beginning of the film.

The script is loosely inspired by "The Losers" stories "Ante Up" (the Losers are nearly wiped out) and "Double Down" (the Losers track down Max).

Popular Dialogues

"Jensen: I'm warning you, I am a lethal killing machine. It was a secret government experiment. They did stuff to me. Spooky stuff... Anal stuff. It turned me into a dangerous telekinetic. As the ancient Tibetan Philosophy states "Don't start none, won't be none!""

"Jensen: Legless Pooch and I are on it! Pooch: Call me 'Legless Pooch' again, and you're gonna be 'Headless Jensen' Jensen: I think it's a cool name, makes ya sound like a pirate. Pooch: Ya mama's a pirate."
