This made-for-TV-movie served as a pilot for a proposed "Thor" TV series that never went into production.
Jack Colvin makes his last appearance as Jack McGee, as he did not return in either of the next two Hulk TV movies.
Jack Colvin suffered a minor stroke shortly after his work on the film was finished. He largely stepped away from acting as a result, and wasn't available for either of the follow up movies.
This film presents Dr. Donald Blake and Thor as two separate characters. In the comics Thor is Blake's alter ego, and he transforms by means of the hammer.
