The Bride came about as a bet between the Director and the Writer - that they can Write and Direct a horror movie (which they never did before) in under two weeks, shoot it for under $10,000, and still manage to sell it. THE BRIDE's Budget was only $8,873 and ended up being sold both domestically and Internationally by Sony Pictures.
