TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

In this unofficial entry in the series Billy/Blue is portrayed as gay and a prominent figure in the LGBT community. This may be a tribute to David Yost, the actor who played the role in the original series, who quit the show due to being mocked on set for being gay.

Trini's funeral scene may be a nod to Thuy Trang who died in September 2001. Co-Stars David Yost and Amy-Jo Johnson attended her funeral.

Carla Perez reprises her role as Rita Repulsa from the television series and Turbo movie.

Jason David Frank, the original Tommy/Green Ranger from the show, was approached for a role but turned it down due to the adult nature of the film, citing specifically the drugs and foul language. He made these comments public via Twitter upon release of the film.

In the original series Rocky is of Mexican decent. In this fan film, Rocky is portrayed by a Caucasian actor.
