Spectrum Originals has ordered an eight-episode dramedy series titled "Panhandle," which follows an agoraphobic arm-chair detective, Bell Prescott (played by Luke Kirby), and a reluctant traffic cop, Cammie Lorde (played by Tiana Okoye), in the Florida panhandle. The duo is on a mission to heal themselves and their town while dealing with personal demons and shocking twists. The series is created by Nicholas Stoller and Carla Kitten and produced by Sony Pictures Television. Colin Bucksey will direct the pilot. The series will have a nine-month exclusive ad-free run on Spectrum before an ad-supported second window on The Roku Channel. Kirby, who won an Emmy for his role in "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," and Okoye, known for her roles in "The Good Place" and "Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens," will bring the story to life. Jeff Frost and Jason Clodfelter, co-presidents of Sony Pictures Television, are excited about the partnership with Spectrum and Roku, expanding the series' audience reach.
