The plot centers around Kamala (played by Anjali Patil), a young woman seeking freedom and adventure, and Naveen (played by Kishore), a reserved and introverted man who is drawn to Kamala's daring nature. The basic plot of the film is fascinating, but the execution falls short. Some of the negative responses received by critics and viewers worldwide mentioned one of Kamalatho Naa Prayanam's major flaws, which was a weak screenplay that failed to create a strong emotional connection with the audience. The plot lacks substance and lacks to effectively explore the complexities of the individuals' experiences. The pace of the story is unpredictable, making it difficult to completely lose oneself in the story and the fate of the protagonists. What the fans enjoyed the most are the performances of the two lead characters, both the actors without doubt delivered a decent performance which added a lot to their respective characters.
