The film got the green light to film on September 11, 2015 from Myriad Pictures.
Brandon Smith and Jonathan Breck are confirmed to reprise their roles, but now that the third film has a new plot, it is unknown if Gina Philips and Ray Wise will return.
Will be financed by Myriad Pictures, since MGM didn't have the money to finance the third movie, which is why the movie hasn't moved forward in the past several years.
The film's premiere was scheduled for September 13, 2017 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles and all the tickets were sold out. Additionally, most of the cast of the two previous Jeepers Creepers films as well as the franchise director, Victor Salva, were going to attend the event which was going to have a screening of the original Jeepers Creepers (2001) film followed by the third installment. However, the event was canceled due to protests against Salva's criminal past.
Gina Philips returns in this film to play again Patricia "Trish" Jenner.
