TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Steve Coogan is also doing the narration.

Skylar Astin's first appearance in a movie.

While the film takes place in Tucson, Arizona, it was actually filmed mostly in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ironically, the two cities consider themselves sister cities due to similar political make-up, demographics and population size.

Around 1:02, Dana Marschz says "My life is a parody of a tragedy." Despite his intentions, his play, Hamlet 2, is effectively a parody of a tragedy.

After Principal Rocker kicks Dana off campus when they break in, we see a shot of the article written in the school newspaper. What Dana reads a few seconds later is not what is written. The article reads, (grammatically incorrectly), "What about about could possibly offend Principal Rocker to such a degree? Or is offense the offense at all? Selective ignorance is a dangerous commodity. As Roland Barthes tells us, textually and novelistic neutrality may coalesce. Rocker obviously suffers from a case of transposed aggression and questions of self worth. The symbolic nature of his actions show as Jung would point male aggression without release breeds anti intellectual action. Rocker could not possible comprehend the ramifications of transposed aggression and questions of self worth. ..."

Popular Dialogues

"Dana Marschz: We are putting on this play and if you don't like it, then tough titties you assturd monkey fucker!"

"[last lines] Dana Marschz: Chuy, you're going to have a magical life. Because no matter where you go, it'll always be better than Tucson. Come on!"
