IMDbIn the new song "Making Today a Perfect Day," you can hear at the beginning a little bit of "Life's Too Short," a song that did not make it into the final cut of Frozen (2013).
In the first Frozen (2013) movie, Anna was seen waking up Elsa when they were little. In the short film, Elsa does the same routine with Anna.
Frozen Fever is the second short Disney has done after a movie. The first was Tangled Ever After (2012), which followed Tangled (2010).
At the beginning of the short, Elsa makes an ice sculpture of herself crying and hugging frozen Anna, which happened at the end of Frozen (2013).
"Making Today a Perfect Day" shows a few references to songs from the previous film Frozen (2013). Elsa says, "a cold never bothered me anyway" referencing to the hit song "Let It Go"; Anna notices and picks up a sandwich, referencing "Love Is an Open Door"; and Elsa and Anna are seen riding down the hall on a bicycle, referencing "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?". Also, the Snowgies make a boat topple over and fall into the water, like Anna and Hans did in Frozen.
"Elsa: Olaf, what are you doing? Olaf: [mouth full of cake] I'm not eating cake. Elsa: Olaf... Olaf: But it's an ice cream cake! Elsa: And it's for Anna. Olaf: And it's for Anna. [spits cake piece out and puts it back]"
"Anna: Elsa, I'm thinking you might have a cold. Elsa: I don't get colds. Besides, a cold never bothered me anyway."
