Finding You Review

I like action, science fiction, and story movies, and I don't usually watch romance films since they're not my cup of tea. I like this movie, but as a disclaimer, I want to say that this movie consists of too much excessive sex or nudity. Although The setting is breathtaking, the music is fascinating; you will tap your toes, the acting is superb, and there is plenty of humour and melancholy. This film should move you in some way. The narrative was cliche, the conversations were predictable, and the chemistry between Finley and Beckett was lacking, yet Rose Reid was endearing with her nice smiles and convincing violin playing. This is a wonderful movie! I absolutely loved it; the Irish countryside was stunning, and the violin music, ranging from enthusiastic fiddle playing to sorrowful tunes, was great.I definitely suggest this video as a breath of fresh air for those of us who are sick of the horrible flicks that are now prevalent. Finding You is a true treasure.

The wording on the gravestone Finlay finds at the end is: "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged."

The Celtic cross, when finally found, had the words from Deuteronomy 31:8 on it. "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." The scripture reference was not included on the stone.

Inspired by the book There You'll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones

The location that Beckett sends to Finley with the location of the cross is at latitude 53.986194N, longitude 006.155167W, which corresponds to a cemetery in Templetown, Co. Louth, Ireland.

Rose Reid on whether she could play the violin: "I would definitely not call myself proficient, at least not to the extent that Finley is by far. I played Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and that was it," she says with a laugh. "But we spent three months, countless hours every other day with a violin coach and kind of worked our way up to being able to play the songs that you see me playing on screen."
