With about 11 minutes remaining, Sam is threatened at gunpoint by Victoria, who then drugs her and using a convenient roll of duct tape binds her wrists and gags her. Sam uses a convenient letter opener to free her hands and had conveniently picked up the correct antidote earlier. After Victoria drugs Nick, Sam then engages Victoria in an epic head slamming hair pulling and punching chick fight, which Sam appears to lose. As Victoria readies another dose, Sam recovers and in round 2 uses a convenient paint palette board to hit Victoria, who lands on her own syringe and drugs herself. The police and EMS arrive and Victoria is removed on a stretcher.
Contrary to the title, none of the family members receive a fatal lesson from the villain, whom they know as a teacher.
