TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Unlike the television series The Fat Slags (1992), the creative team at the British comic magazine "Viz", where the "Fat Slags" characters originally appeared, had no editorial control over this production. It was reported that they were so appalled by the final result that they dropped the characters from the magazine after the film's release. However, the strip was not dropped and the comic creators never had any intention of doing so. This was probably based on a misquote.

Despite being given a pirated copy of the film for free, Viz cartoonist Graham Dury refuses to watch it.

This is one of two films in which a character played by Jerry O'Connell has his penis bitten off. The other is Piranha 3D (2010).

Dolph Lundgren said to Empire Magazine in 2007: "How did I get involved in Fat Slags (2004)? That's a good question." He comically added: "I'd ask that agent of mine, but he's sunk in the Thames River." In an interview with The AV Club, Lundgren said "Why did I make it? I don't know. It was spur of the moment, through a friend of mine. It was a friend of a producer. They were doing a comedy in the UK, and I had an apartment there at the time, and I was spending some time there a couple of years ago. I ended up doing a small role. I think it was a half day's work. What can I say? I don't know if anyone has ever seen it. I have never seen it. But some people who have seen it say that it's funny[...] It was fun. It was a slapstick comedy, and I hadn't done one before."

Jerry O'Connell and Geri Horner became romantically involved after working together on the film. They eventually split. Halliwell has said that O'Connell was too "immature."

Popular Dialogues
