Christy Review

Christy is a Malayalam romance comedy drama film that follows Roy, a confused and aimless teenager, who forms a complicated relationship with his tuition teacher, Christy. The chemistry between the two characters is well-built in the beginning, with Roy's calming presence being a much-needed solace for Christy during a difficult time in her life. However, as the narrative progresses, we are left confused by Christy's actions, as the movie plot becomes boring. The script hits its high points in the initial parts where the narrative flows well, but it falters as the movie progresses, and we are left wondering about what Christy might be thinking at crucial points in the story. The movie is named after Christy, but we see everything from Roy's point of view, and this ends up destroying all the hard work put into building the chemistry between the two characters. Overall, Christy has its moments, but the shoddy writing and confusing character motivations make it a disappointing watch.
