Though the concept for Blood Fest originally began (and ended) as a feature film, for a period of time it was slated to become a multi-part web series like Rooster Teeth's Day 5.
Owen Egerton, who played Gamemaster Anthony Walsh, was also the director and writer of the film.
Gus Sorola originally had several scenes that were filmed, edited, and in early editions of the film; but was ultimately removed due to pacing/story issues.
The host of the titular Blood Fest refers to his employee as "cock bites." This was considered a name for the company now known as Rooster Teeth.
When talking about the zombies outside the cabin, Dax asks if any of them were running and mentions "Snyders" and "Boyles" He's referring to the films of Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead) and Danny Boyle (28 Days Later), both of which feature fast-moving zombies.
