The movie took almost 2 years to make, ever since it was first announced in early 2015, making it the sequel with the longest production time.
The first sequel in the franchise to have Steve Moore (who co-wrote the first film) returning as co-writer.
The film was originally set to be the sixth installment in the Alpha and Omega franchise, but for some unclear reason, Lionsgate decided to release Alpha and Omega: Dino Digs (2016) before it, making The Big Fureeze the seventh entry.
It was originally set to be released in late-January 2016, but was pushed back to November 2016 due to the script being rewritten.
The most action-heavy sequel in the franchise.
"Kate: [while they're both hiding inside a cave during the blizzard] Oh, Humphrey. We should've known this is why the caribou haven't come back. Humphrey: Oh, come on Kate.
