While a launch timeline hasn’t been specified, decoding the model numbers may give us some clue.
Xiaomi 15 launch timeline revealed by model number?
- The IMEI database listing, as spotted by Android Headlines, shows the Xiaomi 15 bears the model numbers 24129PN74G, 24129PN74I, and 24129PN74C.
- The Xiaomi 15 Pro carries the model number 24101PNB7C. There is also a Xiaomi 15 Pro Ti Satellite version with the model number 2410DPN6CC.
- Interestingly, the first four digits of these numbers could point to an estimated launch date. This means, the Xiaomi 15 Pro model number (2410) indicates October 2024 launch.
- The Xiaomi 15 might launch at a later date in December (2412).
- This is an interesting development considering Xiaomi usually launches its Pro and vanilla flagships together, but things might be changing this time around.
The report also notes that Xiaomi 15 Pro might be exclusive to the Chinese market much like the Xiaomi 14 Pro. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 15 will launch globally.

As said, the Xiaomi 15 series might be the first to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The company might bring native AI features like most flagships these days. The Pro version is believed to come with an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor under the screen, a 50MP periscope camera, and a 2K micro-curved screen.
