Xiaomi 15 series battery, camera detail tipped

Without revealing the exact details, tipster Smart Pikachu (via Weibo) suggests that the Xiaomi 15 series will likely feature at least a 5,000mAh battery, which would be an upgrade over its predecessors, as the Xiaomi 14 offers a 4,610mAh battery. At the same time, the Xiaomi 14 Pro includes a 4,880mAh battery.
As per reports, the upcoming Xiaomi 15 might not be larger in size than its predecessor despite the battery upgrade, which will make it highly competitive among its competitors if the rumour turns out to be true.
Regarding cameras, the tipster revealed that the Xiaomi 15 is under testing with a variable aperture primary camera, which would also be an upgrade compared to the Xiaomi 14.

Notably, most phones come with fixed apertures. However, a variable aperture provides several advantages, such as allowing users to use a narrow aperture for a shallow depth-of-field effect suitable for portraits and a wider aperture for better low-light shots. Also, it might benefit large camera sensors that face difficulty focusing on close-up subjects.
