Xiaomi 14 Civi vs Realme GT 6T performance comparison: which phone packs more punch?

The recently launched Xiaomi 14 Civi (review) is a head-turner in its own right, but how does it fare in terms of performance? The handset is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which aims to deliver flagship-grade performance at a relatively affordable price. Can the Xiaomi 14 Civi take on the performance-oriented Realme GT 6T (review) in its price segment? Read this comparison to find out.

The Realme GT 6T narrowly won this round by achieving a significantly higher score of 14,50,949 on AnTuTu, compared to the Xiaomi 14 Civi’s score of 14,43,011. This means that the Realme smartphone should be slightly more capable of handling graphically demanding tasks such as gaming, multitasking, and more.

Geekbench

The Xiaomi 14 Civi outperforms the Realme GT 6T in the Geekbench test in both single-core and multi-core tests. While the difference in the single-core test scores between the two devices was relatively small, the Xiaomi smartphone won by a decent margin in the multi-core test. This should give the Xiaomi 14 Civi an edge over its counterpart when completing complex tasks.

Throttling test

The Realme GT 6T throttled less in our Burnout test, which puts the phone’s chipset under some strenuous load. We ran the handset at around 58.4 percent of its peak performance. In comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Civi throttled to a worrisome 40.8 percent of its peak performance in a similar test.

Gaming

The gaming performance remains more or less the same on both devices. The Xiaomi 14 Civi and Realme GT 6T managed to run our go-to titles, namely Call of Duty and BGMI, fairly well. However, if you are wondering which smartphone is more efficient, then the Realme GT 6T is a clear winner. The handset’s thermals rose up by a cumulative 14.7 degrees after three games (each for 30 minutes). The Xiaomi 14 Civi, on the contrary, saw a 23-degree spike in its thermals after the test.

Verdict

Overall, the Realme GT 6T emerges as a clear choice if you prioritise raw performance and efficiency. The handset outperforms the Xiaomi 14 Civi in both synthetic benchmarks and real-world performance. It is also more affordable than its counterpart, starting at Rs 30,999 compared to the Xiaomi 14 Civi’s starting price of Rs 42,999.
