WhatsApp for Android now lets you share any type of file

“WhatsApp will also display multiple photos in chats as a gallery with the new update”

WhatsApp has been adding a stream of new features to its app. An recent update brought pinned chats to Android, which allows you to pin priority conversations on top of your chat list. The latest update to WhatsApp’s Android app improves the file sharing functionality.

WhatsApp new media support

Earlier, WhatsApp supported sharing images, videos and document files spanning .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, and similar extensions. Now Android users can share just about any type of file they want, including APKs and ZIP. All of these file types are available for sending from Attach > Document pop up. Plus, when you share a photo from your documents folder, it will be sent uncompressed, so it won’t lose its quality.
