Vivo V29 series India launch date revealed: here’s what to expect

Vivo has finally announced the launch date for its V29 series. The new Vivo lineup is expected to feature two phones, the Vivo V29 and V29 Pro. The Vivo V29 has already made its debut globally but the Pro model is said to be an India-exclusive product. The company has been teasing its upcoming phones with the design, colour options and other details revealed already.

Vivo V29 series India launch date

The Vivo V29 series will launch in India on October 4th at 12pm. The launch event will most likely be live streamed for viewers to watch it online. Ahead of the official announcement, the launch date was already revealed by Vivo through its microsite for the V29 series. But it’s finally official now.

Vivo V29 series design, colour options

Like other Vivo phones, the V29 series will also offer a design-first approach. The smartphone has a slim form factor measuring only 0.746cm, and weighing 186g. It also has a 3D curved display. At the back there’s a triple camera setup with the Aura Light ring. The Vivo V29 series will come in three colour options of Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red, and Space Black.

Vivo V29 series camera features

Vivo has revealed that the V29 will house a Sony IMX663 sensor that is claimed to offer DSLR-like portrait shots. It will also come with the wedding style portrait feature, and Aura Light for low-light portraits. The Sony IMX663 sensor could be a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens along with a primary 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. This is rumoured for the Vivo V29 Pro.

As for the Vivo V29, this phone is said to feature a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN5 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone could house a 50MP front camera.
