Sony says it has included features like 360 Spatial Sound mapping, Dolby Atmos, and 360 Reality Audio on these soundbars for a better audio output. The Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 8 features 11 speakers, while the Bravia Theatre Bar 9 has 13 speakers. They include the company’s 360 Spatial Sound mapping technology, which offers a wide sound field that surrounds the listener with audio from multiple directions for enhanced and powerful audio.

The tech giant mentioned that these Bravia Theatre Bar 8 and BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9 soundbars are compatible with Sound Field Optimisation, indicating they can adjust and tune each speaker based on the layout of the user’s room automatically.

The newly launched Sony soundbars have Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced certification for immersive home-theatre-like sound experiences. Alongside that, they also offer 360 Reality Audio for better audio clarity.

Meanwhile, Voice Zoom 3, an AI-powered feature in these soundbars, enhances dialogue clarity for clear and prominent speech amidst background sounds. They incorporate HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) and Optical Input for connectivity with other devices.

According to the company, the Bravia Theatre Bar 8 and Bravia Theatre Bar 9 support 8K/4K at 120Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for gaming, which offers a smooth and responsive gameplay with reduced lagging.
