The Galaxy Unpacked event is taking place on July 10th in Paris. Here, we’re expecting a host of new Samsung devices including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Much has been revealed about the foldable phones already and now a new leak lists the key specifications and features. These are official marketing images of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 shared by Evan Blass.
Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6 specifications leaked
Blass, through his Substack, shared the promo materials of both the Samsung foldables with their design, features, and specifications. Let’s start with the bigger of the two, the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
According to this leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will feature a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz main display and a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display. Both displays offer 2,600 nits peak brightness. The foldable has an Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and back, and IP48 water resistance up to 1.5m for around 30 minutes.
Under the hood of the phone runs an octa-core processor but the name hasn’t been revealed. It’s most likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has five cameras in total. There’s a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP wide camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom at the back. For selfies, you get a 10MP front camera on the cover display and a 4MP under-display camera.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 packs a 4,400mAh battery, unchanged since the last two generations. It will come with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage but more variants are expected at launch. The foldable also has Ultra Wideband, a USB Type-C port, and NFC for connectivity. It also comes with S Pen support and weighs 239g, which is lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 5(253g).
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 features a 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display is a 3.4-inch FHD IPS screen, the same as the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and it packs a 4,000mAh battery. This is one upgrade over the 3,700mAh battery on the previous model.
In the photography department, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 50MP main camera with 2X digital zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the cover display. But the rear cameras also double as selfie cameras with the cover display as the viewfinder. Inside, there’s a 10MP front camera. The 50MP main camera is a jump from the 12MP camera on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has also been listed with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
