Samsung Galaxy S24+ was spotted on Geekbench with the upcoming Android 15. This unit of the Samsung flagship with the new Android update performed better than the one running Android 14. This suggests better optimisation and performance boost for the Galaxy S24+ with the latest Android update. Samsung is yet to release the Android 15 beta update for its smartphones.
Galaxy S24+ with Android 15 on Geekbench
- A Samsung smartphone with the model number SM-S926B was spotted on Geekbench 6 by PhoneArena. This model number is associated with the Galaxy S24+.
- Here, this Galaxy S24+ unit scored 2,114 points in the single-core test and 6,616 in the multi-core test.
- If we compare it to the Galaxy S24+ running Android 14, the scores are slightly higher than 2,113 points in the single-core test and 6,469 points in the multi-core test.
- Other specs remain the same with both the Galaxy S24+ units powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
- It’s worth mentioning that this Android 15 version will arrive with One U1 7.0 and is still in the early stages. So, a more refined version might result in an even better performance for the Galaxy S24+ and corresponding devices.
Android 15 was unveiled at the Google I/O conference in May. Google also released Android 15 Beta 2 for select devices. At present, there are certain devices running Android 15 beta and some of these include the Nothing Phone (2a), Realme 12 Pro+, and OnePlus 12.
Samsung is yet to release the Android 15 beta for its smartphones but it’s expected to arrive next month. It will most likely roll out with One UI 7 layered on top. The first batch of devices to receive Android 15 beta with One UI 7 would be the top-tier flagship smartphones including the Galaxy S24 series. With early promising scores, it’s interesting to see how else Android 15 changes the overall performance in Samsung phones.
