At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung has announced the launch of the new Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds. These debut alongside the Galaxy Watch 7 and new Fold 6 and Flip 6 foldables. The biggest change is the introduction of Galaxy AI to the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro, besides the introduction of a new stem design similar to the Apple AirPods Pro.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro India prices, availability
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 price in India is Rs 14,999, while the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is priced at Rs 19,999.
Users pre-booking the Buds 3 will get cashback worth Rs 4,000 or upgrade bonus worth Rs 4,000. Users who pre-book the Buds 3 Pro will get cashback worth Rs 5,000 or the same upgrade bonus.
The global price is USD 179, while the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro global price is USD 249.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 series will be available for pre-order starting today, July 10th. The general availability will start from July 24th. The earbuds come in White and Silver colours.
Both Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro come in two colours: Silver and White.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro features, specs
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro has a ‘Canal Type’ design, while the Buds 3 has an Open Type design. The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds come with enhanced 2-way speakers with planer tweeters and dual amplifiers for a crystal-clear sound experience. There is a new Ultra High-Quality Audio that supports a doubled sampling rate with SSC codec. There is a new pre-trained model based on ML and this restores the original voice of the speaker in various noise environments while also delivering a rich call experience.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3: The Samsung Galaxy Bud 3 comes with a single-way 11mm dynamic driver with ultra-high quality audio, 24-bit Hi-Fi, and 360 Audio with Direct Multi-Channel. These with three microphones, VPU (voice pickup unit) and support SSC(Samsung Seamless Codec) Hi-Fi, SSC UHQ (Samsung Proprietary) AAC, and SBC codecs. There is Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and is compatible with Android 10 or higher with more than 1.5GB RAM. There is ANC support and an IP57 rating.
The standard Galaxy Buds 3 pack a 48mAh battery each, while the charging Case has a 515mAh battery. They are claimed to last up to 24 hours (with ANC on) or up to 30 hours (with ANC off). Each Galaxy Buds 3 earbud measures 4.7 grams while the charging case measures 46.5 grams.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro: The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro comes with an enhanced 2-Way 10.5mm Dynamic + 6.1mm Plana drivers. These also have 3 microphones and a VPU (voice pickup unit). Like the standard Buds 3, the Pro version also gets the 24-bit Hi-Fi and 360 Audio with Direct Multi-Channel. There is ANC (active noise cancellation), Ambient mode and Voice Detection. It can distinguish between noise and human voices. When you speak, it switches temporarily to Ambient mode and reduces media volume so that you can hear conversations without taking out your earbuds.
The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro get a slightly larger 53mAh battery each and a 515mAh battery in the carry case. They can last up to 26 hours (with ANC on) or up to 30 hours (with ANC off). Rest, we get the same Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and codec support.
The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro comes with new Blade Lights, which enable a more intuitive physical experience by allowing users to control the device by simply pinching or swiping up or down on the blade.
Galaxy Buds 3 series AI features
Samsung Galaxy AI features find their way to the Buds 3 series. There is a new communication experience when you are attending a class in a foreign region. The new Interpreter in Listening mode allows you to hear the lecture translated directly through your Galaxy Buds. The new Listening Mode is present on the Galaxy Z Fold 6/Flip 6 with Buds 3 series series plugged in the ears.
Simply saying Voice Command allows you to control functions like playing or stopping music without manually touching the earbuds or a connected smartphone. The microphones in the Buds 3 series can analyse both internal and external sound in real-time to enhance the sound and ANC quality through Adaptive EQ and Adaptive ANC.
The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro can constantly collect and identify surrounding sound and automatically adjust the optimal level of noise and sound without manual adjustment through Adaptive Noise Control.
