The Samsung Galaxy A05 was launched in India in November 2023. Now, the company is planning to introduce the successor, the Samsung Galaxy A06, in several markets, which likely include India as well. While Samsung is yet to reveal details about the Galaxy A06, the upcoming phone has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification sites, which hints at an imminent launch.
Samsung Galaxy A06 BIS, FCC details
- As per a report by MySmartPrice, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A06 has appeared on the BIS certification website with model number SM-A065F/DS.
- The BIS listing does not reveal any key features of the upcoming smartphone, but it confirms that the phone will feature dual SIM support.
- The Samsung Galaxy A06 smartphone has also been spotted on the FCC certification site with the same model number SM-A065F/DS.
- As per the listing, the Galaxy A06 will be backed by a 4,855mAh rated battery, which will be marketed as 5,000mAh, similar to its predecessor.
- The listing indicates that the yet-to-be-launched phone will include Bluetooth, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi, and 4G LTE connectivity.
- The schematic renders revealed via the certification documents show that the phone will measure 167.3 mm in height and 77.31 mm in width.
- No other details of the Galaxy A06 have been revealed via these certification websites, but they hint the phone might be launched soon.
Samsung Galaxy A06 specifications (expected)
Notably, Samsung has yet to reveal the features of the the Galaxy A06. However, it recently appeared on the Geekbench website, suggesting that it will be equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, which we have already seen on the Galaxy A05. Furthermore, the Galaxy A06 will likely pack at least 6GB RAM and will operate on Android 14.
To recall, the Galaxy A05 boasts a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a waterdrop notch, the MediaTek G85 processor and up to 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. It packs a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging.
