Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched a new version of its Redmi Smart Fire TV 32-inch in India. This comes as an upgrade to the model that debuted last year. Interestingly, the 2024 edition has the same hardware and features but will be sold at a cheaper price. As the name suggests, the TV flaunts a 32-inch display and a Vivid Picture Engine for immersive viewing.

The Redmi Smart Fire TV 32 2024 is priced at Rs 11,999 and will be available starting from June 11th via the Xiaomi website, Amazon, and Flipkart. There is an instant bank discount of Rs 1,000.

The Redmi Smart Fire TV 2024 features a premium metal design with narrow bezels on all three sides. This is relatively a premium offering considering most budget TVs in this segment offer a plastic frame and have significant bezels around the screen.
The TV is powered by a quad-core processor and paired with Mali G31 MP2 GPU for graphics. We get 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. This is pretty standard among all budget smart TVs sold in the country.
The Redmi Smart Fire TV runs on FireTV OS 7 with over 12,000 apps and there’s support for live TV channels, parental control, and data monitoring. It is equipped with two 10W speakers, with a combined sound output of 20W and there’s support for Dolby Audio, DTS-HD, and DTS Virtual:X. In comparison, TVs from Kodak do offer slightly higher 30W speakers on board but the operating system is a basic Linux version.
The bundled remote control features a dedicated Alexa button and noted OTT app hotkeys for quicker access. Connectivity options include dual-band WiFi, Miracast, two USB 2.0 ports, AirPlay, Bluetooth 5.0, and HDMI ports. As said, the Redmi Fire TV sports a 32-inch HD-Ready display with a 178-degree viewing angle, auto low latency mode, 6.5ms response time, and 96.9 percent screen-to-body ratio.
In comparison, the company also launched a 43-inch 4K variant in addition to the 32-inch model. The hardware specifications are the same as last year’s model, including the same 32-inch screen, quad-core processor, 8GB storage, and dual 10W speakers.
