Redmi Pad Pro teased to launch in India later this month

Redmi 13 5G launched today in India as the brand’s new budget 5G phone. It also teased the launch of the Redmi Pad Pro in India. This tablet was launched in China in April and it comes in a 5G variant as well. It’s not confirmed though if Xiaomi is bringing both the 4G and 5G variants of the Redmi Pad Pro.

Redmi Pad Pro India launch confirmed

The Redmi Pad Pro India launch was teased at the Redmi 13 5G event. It’s slated to launch later this month but a specific release date hasn’t been revealed yet. We should start seeing teasers for the Redmi Pad Pro in India soon. This was expected though as the Redmi Pad Pro was spotted on the BIS certification site.

There’s no difference between the Redmi Pad Pro 4G and 5G variants other than the price. In China, the 4G variant starts at CNY 1,499 (approx Rs 17,591), while the base model of the 5G variant costs CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 23,000). The Redmi Pad Pro comes in Dark Grey, Smoky Green, and Light Bay Blue colour options. The 5G model is available in Dark Grey only.

The tablet comes with attachable accessories including a stylus pen and keyboard stand but you’d have to buy them separately. There’s even a a Harry Potter edition of the Redmi tablet, priced at CNY 2,299 (around Rs 26,987).

Redmi Pad Pro specifications

Redmi Pad Pro features a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of peak brightness. It also has a 180Hz touch sampling rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood of the tablet runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with Adreno 710 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. You can further expand it up to 1.5TB via a microSD card.

The Redmi Pad Pro sports an 8MP camera on the front and the rear as well. On the software front, it runs Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14. The Redmi tablet packs a 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, quad speakers, and Dolby Atmos.
