However, the wait might not be long as the Redmi Pad Pro has appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website, hinting that it might soon come to India. Here are the expected details of the Redmi Pad Pro’s India launch.

Redmi Pad Pro BIS certification details

  • The Redmi Pad Pro has been spotted (via MSP) on the BIS certification with a 2405CRPFDI model number, where “I” stands for the India variant.
  • The BIS listing does not reveal any specific details, including features or specifications, about the Redmi Pad Pro but hints that it might be launched soon in India.
  • Though not confirmed, the Redmi Pad Pro might bring the 5G variant of the tablet, as it recently appeared on the Google Play Console database.

Redmi Pad Pro: what to expect

  • Display: The Redmi Pad Pro has a 12.1-inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 600 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, offering a bigger display than the competitors, such as Realme Pad 2 and the OnePlus Pad Go. However, the Pad Go has a 144Hz refresh rate.
  • Chipset: This Redmi tablet is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC for smooth performance. Its competitor tablets, such as the Realme Pad 2 and OnePlus Pad Go, come with MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, and the Lenovo Tab M11 features the Helio G88 SoC.
  • Rear cameras: The Realme Pad Pro houses 8MP on the rear and front, like the Realme Pad 2. On the other hand, the OnePlus Pad Go and Lenovo Tab M11 pack a 13MP rear shooter and an 8MP front sensor.
  • RAM, storage: The Redmi tablet packs up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. We have seen this storage configuration on the Realme Pad 2 and OnePlus Pad Go.
  • Battery, charging: The Pad Pro has a 10,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging. The battery capacity is bigger than the 8,360mAh on the Realme Pad 2, 8,000mAh on the OnePlus Pad Go and 7,040mAh on the Lenovo Tab M11. However, the Pad 2 and Pad Go offer 33W fast charging support, while the Tab M11 has 15W charging technology.

The global variant of the Redmi Pad Pro 4G comes in two storage variants – 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB – starting at EUR 299 (around Rs 27,000). Meanwhile, in China, the tablet has been launched in three storage variants, including an additional 8GB+128GB option. There, the tablet starts at CNY 1,499 (around Rs 17,600).

We can expect the tablet to start at around Rs 20,000 in India. However, the actual price will only be known when it becomes official in India. Additionally, it is worth noting that the POCO launched its first tablet – the POCO Pad – globally with features identical to those of the Redmi Pad Pro. The POCO Pad is confirmed to launch soon in the country.
