After launching the Redmi 13C 5G back in December 2023, the company appears to be working on the successor, the Redmi 14C. The company might not wait until December to introduce the successor as the phone has now been spotted on the IMEI database. This suggests that Xiaomi will be launching the phone in more markets than it did the Redmi 13C.
Redmi 14C model number revealed
- The Redmi 13C has been spotted (via) in four different markets as four different models have been spotted on the IMEI database.
- The listings reveal the model numbers: “2411DRN47G“, “2411DRN47R“, “2411DRN47I” and “2411DRN47C“.
- This suggests the ‘G’ for global, the ‘R’ standard for Japan, the ‘I’ stands for India and the ‘C’ detonates China.
- This will be the first time that Redmi is introducing its C-series phone in Japan.
- Besides this, the phone will be sold in China, India and other global markets. The Redmi 14C appears to be getting a wide release by the brand’s standards.
- Not much else is known about the phone at the moment but as said it will succeed the Redmi 13C and is expected to bring some notable improvements.
Redmi 13C 5G hardware
While we wait for the Redmi 14C launch, here’s a recap of the specifications of the Redmi 13C. The handset has a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 600nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection layer. The handset will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset for the 5G model. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, further expandable via a microSD card.
The Redmi 13C runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box. We get a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G/4G, dual SIM, WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS. The phone features a 50MP primary camera and a secondary lens. We get a 5MP shooter for selfies.
