Redmi 13 launch imminent, appears on more certification websites

Highlights
  • The multiple certification appearances suggest it is destined for different markets.
  • Redmi 13 could launch under a POCO branding in India.
  • It could be powered by a MediaTek Helio chipset.

Redmi is believed to be working on Redmi 13 4G and Redmi 13 5G. Last week we discussed the 5G variant’s appearance on certification sites, and this time the 4G model has appeared on Indonesia’s SDPPI and Thailand’s NBTC. Previously, the Redmi 13 4G was also spotted on the US’s FCC, EEC, and Singapore’s IMDA. Let’s see what each of these tells us about the device.

Redmi 13 on SDPPI, NBTC

  • Redmi 13 has landed on SDPPI with model number 24040RN64Y.
  • As for NBTC, the listed model number is 2404ARN45A.
  • Folks over at MySmartPrice spotted both of them.
  • These two listings don’t reveal anything other than that Redmi is planning the launch in multiple markets.

However, other certification websites do spare some details. For instance, it showed up on IMDA and EEC with model number 2404ARN45A and on FCC with model number 24049RN28L. It is said to be internally codenamed Moon and here are a few more details we have on it:

Redmi 13 specifications (expected)

  • The Redmi 13 could carry a 5,000mAh battery (rated 4,930mAh).
  • It could support 33W fast wired charging.
  • The handset could boot Android 14-based HyperOS 1.0.
  • The list of supported connectivity options could include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS.
  • The Redmi phone could bear MediaTek Helio G88 SoC inside.

Well, there’s also a rumour that this device will be very similar to a yet-to-be-announced POCO M6 4G

Meanwhile, the Redmi 13 5G could bring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset along with Adreno 613 GPU, HyperOS based on Android 14, a 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging support. This is expected to be one of the cheapest 5G phones in India.

That’s pretty much what we know about the Redmi 13 series. Either Redmi launches both phones together in India just like it did with the Redmi 13C series. Or perhaps it could release the Redmi 13 5G and rebadge the Redmi 13 as POCO M6. Let’s see.
