The Realme GT 6 (review) is the brand’s newest flagship killer, which comes with the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, similar to the POCO F6 (review), which launched back in May 2024. Since both phones feature similar chipsets, we decided to test them against each other in aspects like their performance, battery life, and cameras. Today, we’ll be doing a battery comparison between both devices to find out which phone offers a superior battery life and charging speed.

PCMark
The PCMark benchmark evaluates the time it takes for a smartphone’s battery to drop below 20 percent from 100 percent battery capacity. The Realme GT 6 registered 14 hours and 45 minutes on the test, while the POCO F6 logged 11 hours and 42 minutes on the test. As per the results, the Realme GT 6 should offer a longer battery life.

Video streaming test
For the video streaming test, we played the same YouTube video on both devices for 30 minutes at 50 percent brightness & volume level to gauge their respective battery drain. Both the Realme GT 6 and POCO F6 dropped 4 percent during the test. This round ends in a tie.

Gaming test
For the gaming test, we played BGMI, COD: Mobile and Real Racing 3 on both devices for 30 minutes each to log their battery drain. The Realme GT 6 registered an aggregate battery drain of 17 percent (5.6 percent average), and the POCO F6 registered a total drain of 22 percent (7.3 percent average).
In terms of absolute drain, the Realme GT 6 dropped 935mAh and the POCO F6 dropped 1100mAh. The Realme GT 6 wins the thanks to its more resilient battery life.

Charging speed test
The Realme GT 6 supports 120W fast charging and takes about 26 minutes to recharge from 20 percent capacity to 100 percent. In comparison, the POCO F6 comes with 90W fast charging support and takes 32 minutes to achieve. The Realme GT 6 wins again due to its superior charging speed.

Verdict
The Realme GT 6 wins against the POCO F6 in our battery comparison. The smartphone comes with a substantially bigger battery and faster charging support. If battery life and charging speed are important metrics for you, the Realme GT 6 is the better choice.
While the POCO F6 doesn’t quite achieve victory, its battery performance is only slightly behind that of the Realme GT 6. Additionally, its charging speed is only marginally slower. The POCO F6 is also priced more affordably, making it a compelling option if performance is your top priority and you’re willing to compromise a little on battery life.
