The iQOO Neo 9 Pro (review) is one of the most sought-after smartphones, especially by power-hungry users in the mid-range segment. As a result, it naturally becomes a competitor for any new smartphone in this category. The Realme GT 6 (review) was recently launched in India with a starting price of Rs 40,999, which drops to Rs 35,999 after discounts. This places it close to the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, currently available in India at Rs 34,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

AnTuTu evaluates the processing and graphics performance of smartphones, with higher scores indicating better theoretical performance. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro achieves a score of 16,11,015, which is approximately 1,10,000 points higher than the Realme GT 6’s score.

Geekbench, on the other hand, tests smartphones’ capabilities to complete tasks. Similar to AnTuTu, a higher score indicates faster task completion. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro scores 2,023 in single-core and 5,564 in multi-core tests on Geekbench. Conversely, the Realme GT 6 achieves only 1,852 and 4,761 in the same tests.

Throttling test
Synthetically, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro also seems to be performing relatively well under intense load. The handset throttles to 53.7 percent of its peak performance in the Burnout test. Consequently, the Realme GT 6 throttles to a significant 40.5 percent.

Gaming
In addition to synthetic benchmark scores, we also tested the smartphones’ gaming capabilities. We played graphically demanding games like BGMI and COD on both devices for half an hour, each with moderate settings. Both handsets performed equally well, with no noticeable frame drops. Their thermals remained similar, too, with the Realme GT 6’s temperature rising by 12.3 degrees and the iQOO Neo 9 Pro’s temperature increasing by 12.7 degrees after gaming.
