Highlights
  • Realme 12 Pro Max was briefly listed on Flipkart.
  • There’s no official announcement on whether the phone will be launched in India or not.
  • Some key specifications of the phone could include a 50MP primary sensor coupled with a 64MP 3X periscope camera.

Realme could be gearing up for a fierce battle with Redmi’s Note 13 Pro series in the mid-range segment. The brand is all set to launch the Realme 12 Pro series globally. While we have already seen the Rolex-inspired design of the upcoming devices, we got no confirmation of what the higher-end variant of the series will be called. However, a Flipkart listing seems to have confirmed that the Chinese manufacturer is opting for a new nomenclature for these devices this time.

Realme 12 Pro Max briefly listed on Flipkart

The Realme 12 Pro series was showcased last week at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. The brand also confirmed a January launch in India for the successor to the popular number series. We’ve known for a while that the upcoming smartphones will be sold through Flipkart, and it seems like a slip-up has taken place on the online retailer’s end.

91mobiles spotted the Realme 12 Pro Max in a Flipkart listing (now taken down), which confirmed a few details and gave us a first look at the full render of the upcoming device. The listing also confirmed that the device could start with an 8GB RAM variant. The “Submarine Blue” colour option is something that the brand has already showcased. As seen earlier in a hands-on video, the smartphone will retain a curved display similar to the Realme 11 Pro series.

Realme has confirmed select camera specifications of the upcoming Realme 12 Pro series ahead of its debut on January 29th. This includes the addition of a 64MP 3X Periscope camera. The series also features a 50MP IMX890 main camera sensor, down from 200MP on the Realme 11 Pro+ as the company focuses on its new “Beyond 200MP, Periscope Awaits” philosophy.
