Google Pixel 9 series continues to take the limelight with the launch slated to take place next month. We have recently come across the alleged live video of the standard Pixel 9 in a new pink colour and the most recent leak spilled the beans on the European price of the phones. In the latest leak, the design of the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL have been revealed through a hands-on video.
Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL designs revealed
The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL alleged units (via) are pre-release hardware. This is evident by the etching on the rear panel used by Google probably to distinguish the prototype units. However, this will pretty much be the final hardware considering we see the ‘G’ logo.
The comparison depicts the size differences between the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Pixel 9 is expected to sport a 6.24-inch display, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL is tipped to get a 6.73-inch display size.
The standard Pixel 9 appears to have a glossy rear panel compared to a less fingerprint-prone matte finish on the Pixel 9 Pro XL. However, the side frame is reversed: where the Pixel 9 Pro XL has a shiny frame, while the standard Pixel 9 has a matte finish. Both phones have a boxy chassis, which keeps in line with most flagships these days. The Pixel phones have flat edges with narrow bezels and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper.
The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge. The Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 have an oval-shaped camera module on the back panel and this is not stretched until the edges like on the Pixel 8 and before models. The protrusion is quite significant compared to the previous gen. The Pro XL variant appears to have triple cameras compared to dual sensors on the standard variant.
The video also compares the phones with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has a 6.8-inch screen. There is also a video with the Pixel 9 Pro XL being compared with the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Google Pixel 9 series is set to debut on August 13th.
