Ahead of the OPPO Reno 12 and OPPO Reno 12 Pro India launch, the company has showcased artificial intelligence features like AI Best Face, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, and AI Clear Face. These will eliminate the need for photo editing for “pro-grade results,” says OPPO. There are also other features like AI Summary, AI Record Summary, AI Clear Voice, AI Writer, and AI Speak to streamline productivity tasks.

AI Eraser 2.0: As the name suggests, AI Eraser 2.0 is the feature to remove background distractions with just a touch of a button. This AI model has been trained on billions of public domain images to offer up to 98 percent image recognition accuracy. This has the ability to recognise human beings and other everyday objects.
AI Perfect shot: At the heart of this technology is AI Clear Face. This delivers high-definition facial details in group photos. The OPPO Reno 12 Series’ AI Studio feature adds a touch of fun to the photography experience by letting you transform any photo into a digital avatar. OPPO’s facial-recognition algorithms can detect and enhance up to 296 facial features in real-time to reduce blemishes and improve complexions based on skin tone, age, and gender.
OPPO also enhances user productivity with the built-in AI Toolbox, powered by the Google Gemini LLM. It comes with utility features AI Writer, AI Summary, and AI Speak. These are designed to make tedious tasks easier and quicker.
AI Summary: This makes grasping information quicker by offering concise summaries and highlights of lengthy content such as reports and online articles. It can also point out crucial dates and essential terms.
AI Recording Summary: This feature saves time by summarising daily office meetings. Users can record meetings in English and Hindi for as long as five hours and use the onboard AI to generate notes, summaries and transcripts at the touch of a button.
AI Writer: This seamlessly integrates into everyday workflows to elevate communication. This completes sentences to speed up replying to office communication or offers word suggestions and grammar correction so that you can focus on what matters.
AI Clear Voice: This feature utilises advanced algorithms to reduce background noise by up to 40dB, thereby enhancing human voices. This ensures clear conversations on standard, WhatsApp and Zoom calls, even in noisy places like concerts and festivals.
AI LinkBoost: This feature identifies data types—messages, photos, and videos—to optimise network use and cut data lag by up to 25 percent.
Battery optimisation: OPPO’s Trinity Engine identifies each app’s computational demands and adjusts the processor’s power consumption accordingly. This ensures maximum efficiency, extending battery longevity and minimising lag during everyday use.

With the Reno 12 series, OPPO introduces its BeaconLink technology to offer dependable fallback during network outages.
