OnePlus says that it had introduced the 'Nord' product line with a goal to make the OnePlus experience more accessible. The first OnePlus Nord is said to have achieved the highest day sales volume in the company's history. The Nord N10 5G and N100 were the company's first-gen budget offerings and are apparently well-received. "At OnePlus, our product strategy and development are always led by the needs of our users. Based on the market feedback and user insight from our previous products, we have decided to continue to expand the OnePlus Nord portfolio to cater to these growing needs and preferences in different markets," said OnePlus CEO Pete Lau.
The OnePlus CEO has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord N200 5G will only be launching in the US and Canada markets. This makes sense considering the Nord N100 never made it to India. Still, OnePlus fans in India would have liked to see a budget OnePlus device. The OnePlus Nord CE 5G launch date in India is June 10th and its price is tipped to be lower than the original Nord. In fact, it could be the cheapest 5G phone from the brand in India yet.
To recall, the OnePlus Nord N100 sports a 6.52-inch HD+ punch-hole display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone boots Android 10 OS with OxygenOS custom skin on top and packs a 5,000mAh battery. Moving to optics, the Nord N100 has triple cameras with a 13MP primary sensor and a couple of sensors for portrait and macro shots. It has an 8MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. A 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support fuels the phone. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and USB Type-C.
