OnePlus is gearing up to launch the Nord 4 in India as well as the global market on July 16th. It will come as a successor to the Nord 3 and bring considerable upgrades. OnePlus Nord 4 India launch date, colour options, availability

The OnePlus Nord 4 will launch in India on July 16th alongside the OnePlus Pad 2, OnePlus Watch 2R, and OnePlus Buds 3 Pro. The device will come in three shades: Black, Mint, and Silver. We expect the OnePlus Nord 4 to go on sale in a few days after its launch event.

OnePlus Nord 4 price in India (expected)

According to a previous leak, the OnePlus Nord 4 will start at Rs 27,999 for the base model, inclusive of all the bank discounts. This implies that the phone’s original pricing could be marginally higher, most likely about Rs 31,999, as rumoured. There will also be a 6-month no-cost EMI option.

Display: The OnePlus Nord 4 will flaunt a 1.5K OLED Tianma U8+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,150 nits peak brightness. In comparison, the Nord 3 launched with a 1.2K AMOLED panel that supports 120Hz refresh rate and Dragontrail Glass protection.
Processor: It will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC at the helm. With the Nord 3 (review), you get the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.
RAM/Storage: It will ship with at least 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. The Nord 3 shipped with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Battery and charging: The OnePlus Nord 4 will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. You get a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging speed with the Nord 3.
Rear camera: It will feature a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary snapper with an 8MP ultrawide lens. The Nord 3 has a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter.
Front camera: We don’t know the front camera specifications of the Nord 4. The Nord 3 had a 16MP selfie snapper.
OS: The OnePlus Nord 4 will boot on Android 14-based custom skin out of the box. The company promise four major Android OS updates and six years of security patches with the OnePlus Nord 4. In comparison, the Nord 3 will get three years of platform updates and four years of security updates.

OnePlus Nord 4 design

The OnePlus Nord 4 has flat corners, thin bezels surrounding the screen, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera in the centre. The phone will have an all-metal body, with a boxy centre frame that has curved edges for improved grip. The device’s rear panel comes in a dual-tone finish. The top section houses the dual-camera sensors, an LED flash and the OnePlus logo in the centre. On the left spin, there is an alert slider.

OnePlus Nord 4 alternatives

If the OnePlus Nord 4 retails at around Rs 30,000 in India, it will compete against the Realme 12 Pro+, POOC F6, and Vivo V30e available in the same price segment.

The Realme 12 Pro+ (review) offers a better triple camera setup with 50MP primary, 64MP telephoto, and 8MP ultrawide sensors, compared to the OnePlus Nord 4’s dual camera setup.

With the POCO F6 (review), you get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC under the hood than the OnePlus Nord 4.

Moreover, the Vivo V30e (review) also packs a 5,500mAh battery. It features a 50MP selfie shooter, the best in its segment. However, the OnePlus Nord 4 offers similar or better specifications than the other competitors in every other aspect.
