OnePlus has been rumoured to launch a new Ace series smartphone in China. It’s the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, which had recently surfaced on China’s MIIT certification platform. Key specs of the smartphone have also leaked quite a few times. OnePlus has now officially confirmed the Ace 6 Ultra, revealing the phone’s striking design and key features. The Ace series is similar to the OnePlus flagship lineup but with a bigger focus on raw power and endurance.
OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra design revealed
OnePlus, on Weibo, shared images of its upcoming smartphone, the Ace 6 Ultra. Similar to other phones in the lineup, the Ace 6 Ultra features the ‘Ace’ branding on the rear panel, but one that glows in purple colour. OnePlus says it has used a 3D stereoscopic lithography process, making the light path traceable. The smartphone has a metal cube deco, a heat-insulating metal frame to block heat, and an R-angle design for better ergonomics.
The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, otherwise, is seen in a dark grey colour with a small camera island on the top-left corner.

OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra: what to expect
Other than the design, OnePlus has also confirmed the Ace 6 Ultra will feature a 165Hz display, jointly developed with BOE. This isn’t surprising as OnePlus has been equipping all its flagship and mid-range devices with a 165Hz panel. This ensures a smooth gaming experience overall. The Ace 6 Ultra is tipped to feature the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, suggesting top-tier performance.
The handset could also pack an 8,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. Since the Ace 6 Ultra is designed for power users, the large battery capacity makes sense. It should ensure a good two-day usage. Most of these specs are required for a performance-focused smartphone, and the Ace 6 Ultra seems to be moving in that direction.
OnePlus has yet to reveal more details about the Ace 6 Ultra. But going by what we know so far, the Ace 6 Ultra is shaping up to be a performance-focused and gaming smartphone. It should appeal to buyers who want a phone that’s specifically designed for gaming and heavy usage. If you’re a dedicated mobile gamer considering an upgrade this month, keep a close watch on this launch, but await full specifications and independent reviews before making a decision.
OnePlus hasn’t revealed the launch date for the Ace 6 Ultra yet, but it’s expected to debut in China this month. Joining the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra will be another “new form factor product”, which could be the rumoured gaming handheld. This suggests that OnePlus is getting more serious about diving further into gaming products.
