After confirming the display and battery details, OnePlus has revealed the RAM and storage specifications of its upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in China. Confirming earlier speculations, the smartphone will indeed become the first from the company to offer a whopping 24GB physical RAM.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro was expected to be the first phone in the world to launch with 24GB RAM but the Nubia RedMagic 8S Pro took that title away with its launch last month. Realme is also expected to launch a 24GM RAM smartphone soon, but further details are unknown.
OnePlus Ace 2 Pro RAM, storage details
- The company has confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will likely come with 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 flash storage.
- It’s been revealed that this 24GB RAM is LPDDR5x RAM made by SK Hynix, a South Korean company that supplies memory chips. This technology will seemingly allow 41 apps to run smoothly and efficiently in the background for 72 hours. TÜV Rheinland has certified the phone to work smoothly for at least 48 months.
- The upcoming phone will likely also come in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM choices.
OnePlus Ace 2 Pro confirmed specifications
- Display: The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will have a 6.74-inch flexible OLED display using a BOE Q9+ screen. Its display’s resolution will be 1.5K, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The screen will also offer 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The phone will be certified by TUV Rheinland for global eye protection.
- Chipset: The company has already revealed that the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Soc.
- Battery: The soon-to-arrive OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will boast a 5,000mAh battery with 150W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology, promising a full charge in 17 minutes. The phone will also include a GaN charging adapter, supporting 45W PD charging and dual USB Type-C output.
The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is set to be released in China on August 16th. The Ace series is only available in China, but it’s likely to come to other parts of the world with a different name. To recall, the OnePlus Ace 2 was introduced worldwide as the OnePlus 11R.
