OnePlus released the beta update of OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 for their 2018 flagship, the OnePlus 6 and Oneplus 6T earlier this year. The first beta build was rolled out in early July, followed by a second release soon after. Now, the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T Android 11 stable update is finally rolling out. Just like any other update, it is expected that the roll-out fashion will start off on a smaller set user base, gradually expanding to all OnePlus 6 and Oneplus 6T devices out there.

OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T Android 11 stable update rolling out
OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T are now receiving the Android 11 stable update with OxygenOS 11 running on top, the company has announced. The build is now finalised and stable and will be expected to incorporate changes from the beta builds that have been rolling out since early July. The Open Beta 3 was the last of the updates to the beta builds that were available for both the devices and was released a couple of days before the stable version's announcements. Looks like the stable version will strongly resemble the Open Beta 3, which can now be considered as the final test case before the official rollout.
Open Beta 3 benefitted from some substantial improvements on the fresh new Android 11 software. Given it is a big jump from Android 10, the betas have had to go through a lot more optimisations than usually expected. The optimisations on the Open Beta 3 included improvements in battery life, VoWi-Fi fixes, video playback on YouTube, improvements to the Work-Life Balance feature, and overall system stability. The over-the-air update of the Open Beta 3 weighed in at 191MB.
Android 11 is a generation old now, and the devices in question are from 2018. The changelog for such a generation update is expectedly pretty big and will contain UI design update, camera UI update, a new Insight Clock face for the Ambient Display, Dark Mode Quick Settings Shortcut, custom time-based enabling-disabling of Dark Mode, new shelf design, updated animations for weather and improvements to Game Space.
