OnePlus 12 price in India, release date and full specifications were announced during a launch event on Tuesday. The phone was made official in the country and globally after debuting in China last month. It is the follow-up to the OnePlus 11 and it brings a host of upgrades under the hood, including the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a Quad HD+ LTPO display, Android 14 OS, and a large 5,400mAh battery.

OnePlus 12 is priced at Rs 64,999 for the 12GB/256GB model and Rs 69,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant. The handset comes in Silky Black and Flowy Emerald colour options.
The handset will be available via Amazon, offline stores, and the OnePlus website. Pre-orders for the OnePlus 12 begin on January 23rd and the flagship will go on open sale in India from January 30th.

OnePlus 12 sports a 6.82-inch QHD+ 2K OLED LTPO ProXDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits of peak brightness, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM Dimming, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. There is a self-developed Display P1 chip, which is claimed to deliver the purest and brightest images with low power consumption.
The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. The chipset is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. There is PixelWorks X7 Independent Visual Processor and OnePlus’ IRX gaming experience to offer 120fps gaming.
The phone runs on Android 14-based OxygenOS custom skin out of the box. The company is promising 4 years of Android updates. There is a large 5,400mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast wired charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging support.
As for cameras, the OnePlus 12 features triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera with OIS, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide angle lens, and a 64MP OV64B periscope lens with 3x telephoto zoom. There is a 32MP Sony IMX615 front camera for selfies and video chats.
Hardware features
OnePlus 12 also comes with IP65 water and dust resistance, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset features a dual Cryo-velocity VC Cooling system, 3D Spatial Audio, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Infrared Remote control.
OnePlus 12 features a Cryo-velocity cooling system with a 9140mm2 VC heat dissipation area, including a 3,686mm2 small VC + 5,454mm2 large VC. The phone retains the alter slider but the repositioned to the left-hand side of the phone. This allowed the company to introduce a new integrated antenna and the Alert Slider solution to offer an enhanced antenna performance for gaming.
There is a dedicated Trinity Engine, which is a self-developed advanced proprietary platform that is claimed to intelligently unlock the full potential of smartphone hardware. OnePlus says this is aimed at providing a consistent, fast, and smooth experience in heavy-duty tasking, multi-tasking, and long-term usage scenarios.
What upgrades does the OnePlus 12 bring?
- The OnePlus 12 gets a slightly larger 6.82-inch QHD+ display compared to the 6.7-inch QHD+ panel on the OnePlus 11. The peak brightness is also upgraded from 1300 nits to a whopping 4,500 nits.
- The OnePlus 12 also gets the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, replacing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on the predecessor.
- The OnePlus 12 features a new 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera with OIS and a 64MP OV64B periscope lens with 3x telephoto zoom. In comparison, the OnePlus 11 offers a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor and a 32MP RGBW telephoto 2x optical zoom.
