OnePlus has strengthened its partnership with JioMart Digital in India. This means that OnePlus devices will now be even more accessible to consumers across 2000+ cities and towns in India. This will be done through JioMart Digital’s distribution network of 63000+ retail stores.

OnePlus products now available in JioMart stores

  • OnePlus products were already available from JioMart’s online store and now with this move, they are sold via offline stores as well.
  • OnePlus aims to expand its presence in tier 3 and 4 cities and towns and beyond, thereby garnering deeper penetration across the country.

  • This association will give an opportunity for the consumer base to gain first-hand experience with the OnePlus devices and further empower retailers across India to “continue bringing innovative technology nationwide.”

“We at OnePlus have continued to have a long-standing successful retail partnership with the JioMart Digital team. As we continue to extend our range of OnePlus products across the Jio Mart Digital store network, we are positive that our community and consumers at large will continue to truly benefit from this opportunity by being able to easily access and gain a personalised experience of our OnePlus devices at their nearest retail outlets,” said Ranjeet Singh, Director of Sales at OnePlus India.

  • Interestingly, this move comes after 4,500 major retailers in the country announced to stop selling OnePlus devices in their stores starting from May 1st owing to low-profit margins and business practices of the brand.
  • The South Indian Organised Retailers Association (ORA) wrote a letter to Ranjeet Singh highlighting various concerns.
  • The major concern of offline stores is that they get low profit margins by selling OnePlus products. The association also complains about OnePlus’ delay in addressing delayed warranty claims of customers.
  • To this extent, OnePlus mentioned that it is working with partners to resolve the issues.
