HMD Global is said to launch the first Nokia-branded foldable phone before the end of this year or early 2021, according to noted sources. There's a possibility the brand might tease the foldable at the upcoming MWC 2020. The Nokia foldable phone will likely be competing with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip or Galaxy Fold phones and Motorola's Razr (2019) foldable flip phone. Though nothing much is known about the phone, it could have a clamshell design with dual fold format. Sources claim that the first-prototype was finished in mid-2019 and HMD Global marked the handset as virtually ready earlier this month. But since the company hasn't confirmed or mentioned anything about the foldable phone, we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt.

News of a possible Nokia foldable doesn't come as a surprise as many smartphone brands are looking to get into this new segment that has been christened by Samsung and Huawei. Brands like Xiaomi, LG and OPPO are also among those rumoured to be working on foldable smartphones.
Separately, HMD Global had reportedly cancelled the Nokia 9.1 PureView, instead, it would announce the Nokia 9.2 PureView with Snapdragon 865 SoC and 5G connectivity. It is said to arrive with a 32 or 48MP front-facing camera for selfies and would have wireless charging support. However, the rest of the details about the flagship are scarce at the moment, but if it's indeed in the works, we might come across more information in the coming weeks.
HMD Global is also expected to announce the Nokia 1.3, Nokia 5.2, Nokia 8.2 5G and a new original series at the MWC event next-month. Rumours suggest the Nokia 8.2 would be powered by the Snapdragon 765G SoC with an integrated 5G modem. It could have a 64MP primary sensor in a circular module, a 32MP pop-up selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3,500mAh battery with fast-charging support. While the Nokia 1.3 and Nokia 5.2 would be entry-level and mid-range phones.
