Motorola Razr 50 Ultra price in India and specifications have been revealed as the phone is officially launched in the country. This is a successor to the Razr 40 Ultra from 2023 and brings some notable improvements like the IPX8 rating, a large 4-inch cover screen, and Google Gemini support on board. The company is offering benefits worth Rs 15,000 from Jio, including Rs 99 voucher for 36 months, an additional 10GB data per month for 36 months, and partner coupons with Rs 8,000. These are valid on the Jio Plus plan of Rs 749.

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra has a 6.9-inch foldable FHD+ pOLED display with 1080 X 2640 pixels resolution, 1Hz-165Hz refresh rate, 3000nits peak brightness, a 120 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and 360Hz touch sampling rate. There is a 4-inch pOLED outer screen with a 1272×1080 pixels resolution, up to 165Hz refresh rate, 2400nits brightness, HDR10+, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with Adreno GPU for graphics. The chipset is paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage. The handset runs on Android 14-based MyUX custom skin out of the box. The company promises 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates. There is a 4,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging and there’s also 15W wireless and 5W reverse charging.

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra features a 50MP primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and OIS and a 50MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom support. There is a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats. The device has an IPX8 water-resistant rating, which makes it the first Razr phone with water protection and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

The phone comes with always-on-display, personalised themes for the cover screen, and there’s Style Sync AI Generative theming, where wallpapers are generated by AI to match your outfit.

Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is the first flip phone to get Google Gemini on the cover display. The company is offering 3 months of Gemini Advanced features free for Razr users with 2TB of cloud storage space. There are various features like Help Me Learn, Help Me Write, Help Me Plan Events, and more with Google Gemini. 

Gemini-AI

Google Photos now supports external display and this allows you to view the gallery after clicking pictures. With Google Photomoji, you can create your own emojis. Moto AI image features include AI Photo Enhancement, AI Super Zoom, and AI Action Shot for shake-free captures on the move. Moto AI video features support AI Adaptive Stabilisation and AI Auto Focus tracking. The phone also supports Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Magic Editor to reimagine photos with Magic Editor in Google Photos using generative AI.

What’s new on the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra?

The first major upgrade with the Razr 50 Ultra is the larger 4-inch screen, which is an upgrade from a 3.6-inch panel on the predecessor. It is also the first Razr series phone to get an IPX6 rating for water protection. Thanks to the LTPO panel, the refresh rate is dynamic and supports up to 165Hz, which is an upgrade from 144Hz. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is now upgraded to a more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. This brings AI features support, including Google Gemini.

The rear camera setup is upgraded to a 50MP + 50MP setup from a 12MP + 13MP configuration on the Razr 40 Ultra. The battery capacity is now 4,000mAh compared to the 3,800mAh cell on the Razr 40 Ultra. The 33W fast charging on the predecessor gets a jump to 45W. This time we also get 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging support.
